Serves 6 people :
½ sliced onion
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 red peppers (300 g)
2 yellow peppers (300 g)
300 g roughly chopped tomatoes
Few fresh basil leaves
Salt & pepper
1Put the onion and olive oil in the bowl, and run the EXPERT programme for 3 minutes (Speed 3/120 °C), making sure you remove the cap first.
2Deseed the peppers and cut into chunks, add to the bowl and run the SIMMER programme for 10 minutes.
3Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper, and run the SIMMER programme for a further 20 minutes. Add the roughly torn basil leaves at the end of the cooking time.

to achieve a thicker consistency, run the EXPERT programme for 5 minutes at the end (Speed 0/110 °C).
